Deputy Dean, Student Accommodation

Deputy Deans are engaged in study, academic employment and/or professional work normally associated with UNSW Australia, and are expected to maintain their successful commitment to these activities in addition to their functions within the Colleges. Deputy Deans are expected to provide an example to the student residents in their College and are expected to participate in and contribute to the community life of their College.


In the absence of the Dean, to carry out all of the duties and responsibilities of their Dean. When called upon, to Deputise for the Dean of College at meetings. To attend regular student meetings. To supervise student leader elections. To assist with the selection of applicants for admission fo the College and with the allocation of rooms to residents. To assist the Dean of College in the maintenance of good order within the College. To be included in the Duty Roster.
