Sleep Smart Project

Sleep Smart Project

The Sleep Smart program is a university wide campaign that focuses on delivering key ‘positive’ messages about sleep and sleep patterns. The aim is to raise awareness amongst the UNSW Community about the importance of sleep and its impact on study and well-being.

Much research has been carried out that highlights the benefits of getting sufficient sleep. These include benefits such as better mental well-being, improved physical health and increased performance on activities such as learning, sports and driving.

Responsibilities

Sleep Smart Ambassadors utilise a variety of communication strategies and delivery methods to deliver appropriate and targeted messages to students about the benefits of healthy sleep routines. The Sleep Smart Project also has a program which aims to educate first year students on the benefits of sleep.
