Young Engineers Australia National Committee

Young Engineers Australia National Committee

The Young Engineers Australia National Committee (YEANC) is the executive body of Young Engineers Australia (YEA). They determine national policies, directions and initiatives and provide a voice for members, advising Engineers Australia and all affiliated groups on matters that affect or concern young engineers.

The national committee includes a representative from each of Engineers Australia's nine divisions, an elected chairperson and past chairperson. These representatives are elected by the YEA Divisions and have a nominal term of two years.

Responsibilities

Young Engineers Australia exists to represent, support and provide a voice for the young engineering team.

Through a culture of innovation, integrity, and the pursuit of excellence, YEA facilitates the professional and personal development of membership.

This establishes engineers as highly respected members of the community. Representatives act to be an influential voice in the engineering profession and the leader amongst Young Professional bodies.
