Co-NNECTIONS is an exciting new initiative specifically for students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds looking to build confidence, skills and experience in the professional world…all as part of a community of like-minded peers.

The program is delivered in partnership with industry, and is organised into 3 professional development stages:

  • Stage 1: Participants visit a range of companies in the CBD to experience different professional settings and practice networking.
  • Stage 2: The group takes part in a 3 day Leadership Camp in the Southern Highlands
  • Stage 3: Students are connected with an alumni mentor and potentially undertake a 6 - 12 week internship over Summer and Term 1 (completed as part of WIL course CDEV3000, and providing an equity scholarship for financial assistance whilst on placement).

Applications for 2019 have closed, but get in touch to express interest in next year's program or ask any questions!

"I am sure I speak for everyone when I say it means a lot that this program gave students like us an opportunity. This program and placement have really helped me develop my self-awareness, professionalism, and confidence. It has instilled a self-belief that was missing before! I loved every part of it, thank you so much and I will be eternally grateful"
