In response to government advice regarding social distancing measures due to COVID-19, UNSW has made the decision to not hold the August graduation ceremonies which are currently scheduled to commence on Friday, August 14 and conclude on Thursday, August 28.
We will continue to closely monitor and comply with the latest Federal and State regulations and health advice, and we will advise you as soon as we can regarding graduation ceremonies in December 2020.
Please see below for more details of what to do next if your graduation ceremony was scheduled for August.
When the December ceremonies have been confirmed we will automatically assign you to a ceremony in the December festival period and contact you with further information on how to confirm your attendance or non-attendance.
Let us know if you want your hard copy testamur before you attend a ceremony by logging into your myUNSW graduation details and requesting 'mail' or 'collect' before 12 July 2020.
If you are not able to attend a ceremony in December you are welcome back at any time in the future to attend a graduation ceremony.
Graduation ceremonies are an important rite of passage both for students and their families. They also let all your teachers and other staff at UNSW celebrate your achievement too and we want to make sure you do not miss out.
The next round of ceremonies scheduled on campus, after December 2020, will be in May 2021, perhaps you can make it then. If would like to return to attend another ceremony, please email email@example.com with your request 2 months prior to the ceremony period you want to attend, e.g. to attend May 2021 ceremonies, contact UNSW Graduations in March 2021.
