Seminar for Parents/Family/Caregivers (English)

A Seminar for Parents/Family/Caregivers will provide an overview of the requirements of student life at UNSW, including advice for your parents/family/caregivers to help you succeed in your studies. An International Student Advisor will be available to answer any questions. The seminar is delivered in English and Chinese Mandarin. No registration required. 

International Student Briefing Day

This briefing day is designed to introduce you to studying at UNSW and to provide you with a practical experience of attending lectures and learning in Australia. The one day event is suitable for undergraduate, postgraduate and research students. You will get the opportunity to meet other commencing students, UNSW staff and Student Development International Cultural Mentors.

Women Health and Wellbeing Seminar

Designed by women for women, this workshop, open to female students only and facilitated by a female International Student Advisor and a female GP from UNSW Health Services, provides participants with advice and information regarding health issues affecting women, life saving practices for better health and well-being and the opportunity to share experiences, discuss and ask questions whilst making friends, in a very casual and relaxed setting over free afternoon tea. Everything shared and discussed is fully confidential! Come along! Look after yourself! Self-care is important!!!

  • Be able to make meaningful contributions in any social setting?

If you answered yes to any of these questions then why not join our new “English Language Conversation Classes” offered by Student Development and learn how to become a dynamic and confident communicator. The classes will include role plays, debates and topic discussions and will be structured to support you in developing fluency, vocabulary and general confidence.
