International Student Scholarships

The international student experience is a key priority at UNSW. We work with students to enable opportunities for academic success, personal growth and empowerment of the international student community. UNSW is pleased to be able to offer a range of scholarships to international students to support this work.

 

International Student Leadership Scholarship – up to $2,000

These scholarships are to enable international students to attend events or activities and engage in representation and / or leadership activities that benefit the international student community. The scholarship will cover registration, travel and accommodation costs (payable upon proof of purchase).

Eligibility: Enrolled international student at UNSW.

UNSW Connection Scholarship – grant valued up to $1,000

The UNSW Connection Scholarship aims to improve the international student experience and well-being through student led initiatives, connecting international students to their communities. Priority will be given to projects that create meaningful Australian connections for international students, and/or support international student well-being and empowerment. In the first round we encourage applications that focus on the pre-arrival and orientation and arrival experience. Student groups will be required to complete a report template during an upon completion of the project.

Eligibility: For student groups at UNSW who are running a new project, or a project with a significantly new initiative.

Deadline: 15 January 2020

Activity needs to be delivered by end of T1, 2020

UNSW Ready Scholarship – grant valued at $2,000

UNSW Ready is an introductory academic program that prepares you to start your degree with 4 weeks of face-to-face sessions at our Kensington campus before your start date. This great program gets you UNSW Ready, both personally and academically. Click here for more information. Applications for Term 1 close on Monday 16 December.

Eligibility: A new higher degree research student who has not studied in Australia before.

Deadline: 16 December 2019

These scholarships are offered by UNSW, in collaboration with Medibank.
