2017 Undergraduate Research Conference - Open for Nominations

What global challenges will face future societies and how can today’s internationally minded students become global citizens?

In collaboration with the University of Edinburgh, the conference will be positioned under the four main themes of development, health, justice and the environment. The conference will take place from 26 – 30 June 2017 on the theme of ‘Future Societies, Global Citizens’

The conference will offer a unique opportunity for undergraduate scholars to hone their research, public speaking, and networking skills with acclaimed academics and peers from around the world. There will also be the opportunity to participate in a variety of extracurricular events to explore Scotland’s political and cultural heritage, from tours of Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish Parliament to a traditional Ceilidh dance


UNSW is invited to nominate up to four student attendees plus up to two reserve candidates. In addition, each member can nominate an accompanying member of staff. If you would like to be nominated for this confrence, please email the Advisor for Global Education by 19 March 2017.  Registration for nominees will open on 7 April 2017 and close on 12 May 2017

Risk assessment

All programs involve some degree of risk to participants. If you choose to source a provider on your own, please remember to do some research on them first and ensure that they are a legitimate organisation and that the product they offer will definitely meet your requirements. Students are therefore advised to undertake their own risk assessment before departure and any participation in these programs is at their own risk.
