NTU Winter+ program 2018

Here at NTU we proudly provide a unique and truly international experience in the winter season. Our educational programs encourage intellectual exploration of the highest academic quality. These programs provide you with the fantastic opportunity to increase your intercultural competence and expand your network of international friends and connections.

National Taiwan University is one of the world's leading research institutions. We encourage students from across the world to participate in our Winter+ Programs in the heart of Taipei – one of the safest and friendliest cities on earth.                  

+1  Chinese Language & Culture  Jan 07–Jan 28, 2018 (3 weeks)

+1 program allows students to experience East Asian culture and acquire Mandarin Chinese competence. The program is based on a unique mix of Taiwanese culture and Mandarin Chinese courses. Culture lecture is conducted in English and studies different historical or sociocultural facets of Taiwan.

+2  Research & Culture  Dec 18–Jan 28, 2018 (6 weeks)

As a student in our +2 program, you take on a 6-week program where you participate in all fields of research at NTU's state-of-the-art laboratories and teacher's research office.  You will also benefit from our culture course. Field trips are offered in hopes of more profound immersion into East Asian culture.


If you wish to transfer credit for the program, you must first seek approval from your faculty for credit transfer through Cross-Institutional EnrolmentUNSW students should also complete the UNSW Overseas Short Course Application Form.

Risk assessment

All programs involve some degree of risk to participants. If you choose to source a provider on your own, please remember to do some research on them first and ensure that they are a legitimate organisation and that the product they offer will definitely meet your requirements. Students are therefore advised to undertake their own risk assessment before departure and any participation in these programs is at their own risk.
