Short Programs for exchange – Winter 2019 (Term 2)

Short Programs for exchange – Winter 2019 (Term 2)

Published: 4 March 2019

A number of Summer Schools (running June-August, or Term 2) offered by partner universities may have exchange places available for UNSW students.

If you are nominated for an exchange place, you will not pay tuition fees to the partner university*, instead you will pay tuition fees at UNSW for the amount of credits you have been approved to transfer (this will normally be 6 or 12 units of credit). This will be through your usual fee payment method.

In order to be eligible for an exchange place, you must have received approval to transfer credit from your Faculty/School Student Centre. You must also have completed at least one term at UNSW and have Good Academic Standing.

Please note: Exchange places on programs are limited, so by applying you are not guaranteed an exchange place. After the application deadline, the Study Abroad and Exchange Office will email you to confirm if you received a nomination and advise you on alternative options if you did not.

If you would like to apply for an exchange place on one of these programs, please follow these steps:

  1. Download the Transfer of Credit form
  2. Fill in the form with all of the courses you may possibly complete at an overseas institution and their UNSW equivalents (these will likely be general education or elective subjects).
  3. Bring the completed form to your Faculty’s student centre for signature by a student advisor.
  4. Submit the UNSW Overseas Short Course Application form (approved Transfer of Credit form must be attached) by the specified deadline (refer to table below).
