National Taiwan University is running Winter programs for international students through NTU+ Academy. There are opportunities to study Chinese Language and Culture, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Research and Culture. These courses are all taught in English. Students are able to apply for these programs from September 1 2019. 

Chinese Language and Culture

This program runs for 3-weeks from 30 December 2019 to 17 January 2020. Students will learn Mandarin Chinese and become familiar with Taiwanese culture. 

Fees: There is an application fee (USD 150) and a program fee (USD 1860). The program fee includes tuition, study materials and resources, orientation, cultural events, travel insurance, field trips, culture activities, and airport pick-up/drop-off.

Innovation and Entrepreneurship Application period. 

This is an intensive one-week program offered by National Taiwan University (NTU) and National Chiao Tung University (NCTU). This program will take place in Taipei and Hsinchu in Taiwan from 29 December 2019 to 4 January 2020. Students will gain insights on cross-cultural management and business development skills, while building professional networks with distinguished professors, scholars, and peers from around the world.

Fees: There is an application fee (USD 150) and a program fee (USD 1000). The program fee includes tuition, study materials and resources, orientation, cultural events, travel insurances, field trips, transportation and accommodation.

Research and Culture

This course gives students the opportunity to participate in all fields of research at NTU's state-of-the-art laboratories. Research work consists of working with other Graduate students of the university, as well as other participants in the program. Students can immerse themselves in Taiwanese culture through a range of activities and daily interactions with local students. This runs from 24 December 2019 to 17 January 2020.

Fees: There is an application fee (USD 150) and a program fee (USD 2080). The program fee includes tuition, study materials and resources, orientation, cultural events, travel and medical insurances, field trips, and airport pick-up/drop-off.

Risk assessment

All programs involve some degree of risk to participants. If you choose to source a provider on your own, please remember to do some research on them first and ensure that they are a legitimate organisation and that the product they offer will definitely meet your requirements. Students are therefore advised to undertake their own risk assessment before departure and any participation in these programs is at their own risk.
