Interested in international humanitarian work in the built environment?
There are two group-based virtual international professional placements available during Term 3C working with not for profit organisations in the urban development sector.
This could be a first step to forging your career and building work-ready skills. Professional Placement (BENV6800) offers 6 units of credit towards your Built Environment degree and is graded Pass/Fail.
23 November - 18 December 2020 (140 hours).
What will I work on?
Habitat for Humanity Cambodia: disaster resilient low cost housing and public facilities.
Sa Sa Art Projects + New Khmer - Architecture: mapping ethnography of space with informal urban communities.
This is a virtual placement, conducted online and working with placement partners and local students in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. A series of cultural activities will also take place in Sydney.
Am I eligible?
There are 8 places available, open to all UNSW students from Architecture, Interior Architecture, Industrial Design, Landscape Architecture, Computational Design, City Analytics (MA), Sustainable Built Environment (MA), City Planning (MA) at the end of their 3rd or 4th year or any stage of their Masters.
