Volunteer with the Transition Team

The Transition Team is one of the teams in the Skill Development Program. It aims to support students in their transition to university life by engaging them in fun events and providing key information about important services, events and procedures at UNSW.
The Transition Team assists Student Development with the delivery of Orientation programs and other key events and activities for commencing and returning students. Events include but are not limited to: Orientation Week, Welcome Back Day, and Census Date events.

This opportunity is accredited by UNSW Advantage as eligible for recognition on your AHEGS.

Team members

Each Skill Development team is led by two team representatives and three to six project officers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out events/activities during O Week designed to assist students' transition to university life
  • Assist managing the Official Welcomes to new undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Promote the University's professional development opportunities and support services
  • Provide valuable support to the Student Development team
  • Coordinating Student Development's stall during O Week
