Co-NNECTIONS is a structured professional development program run by UNSW Co-op which offers participants leadership experiences, networking opportunities, a personal mentor, and an 8-week internship over summer in a professional environment with a Co-op Industry Partner.

Participants will gain insight into common business practices, work culture and the expectations of employers. They will also build confidence in their own professional capabilities and strengths. After completing the program, they will be able to position themselves much more effectively for internships and graduate roles.

Student participation in all elements of the program will be carefully tracked. An Internship Agreement will be signed by student and sponsor outlining the commitment and hours prior to them commencing.

To be eligible to apply for Co-NNECTIONS, you must be a current undergraduate domestic student who meets one of the following criteria:

Co-NNECTIONS Participant

The initial elements of the program (workshops, leadership experience, networking, site visits, mentoring etc) are all learning experiences that help build participants's confidence and knowledge in preparation for their internship over summer.

All participants will attend a pre-internship workshop to ensure they are aware of the expectations of their employer and how to make the most of the experience for themselves and their employer, and will receive the guidance of a supervisor within the organisation, and a mentor outside, as well as the support of the Co-op Office throughout the entire program.

Activities and events will be scheduled in October and late November. Internships will run full time over summer.
