Student Exchange Ambassador

The Student Exchange Ambassador program works with selected UNSW students who have been on exchange, are passionate about their exchange experience and wish to share their insight and knowledge with prospective outbound exchange students.

Student Exchange Ambassadors assist the Exchange Office to undertake a number of initiatives related to the promotion and administration of the Exchange Program.


  • Attending Exchange promotional events and information sessions both on and off campus
  • Giving promotional presentations and sitting on a panel to promote Exchange to a wide range of audiences
  • Acting as an Ambassador of the University and promoting the UNSW Exchange program at promotional events
  • Offering informal and practical advice to prospective students on different aspects of the Exchange program
  • Assist with the organising and delivery of student exchange events including pre-departure briefings, orientation programs, Expo and exchange presentations
  • Assist with the coordination of social media campaigns, including Instagram and Facebook to increase student engagement.

How to get involved

Interested students should complete the application survey and upload their resume and selection criteria by the application deadline.




Student Exchange Ambassadors will attend a mandatory training session before they start as an Ambassador.


Student Exchange Ambassadors will be asked to contribute a minimum of 20 hours of their time over a semester.
