Women In Technology Empowerment Program

Women In Technology Empowerment Program

The Empowerment Program aims to encourage and inspire female students, primarily interested in the technology industry. They are able to obtain professional development by further building hard and soft skills in workshops based on personal branding, networking and an introduction to logical thinking through coding. The Empowerment Program also offers the opportunity for each participant to be paired with a Westpac mentor, where regular meetings will provide valuable insight into the industry.

Compulsory attendance of four workshops, opening and closing events and participating in WIT's Annual Hackathon (a 12 hour event exercising skills obtained in the workshops). Regular contact with Westpac mentor over the time the program is run.
