Dr Michael Petinga graduated from the University of Wollongong with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2013. Prior to studying medicine, Michael completed a Bachelor of Medical Science with Distinction in 2009. He then completed his internship and residency at The Wollongong Hospital before moving onto General Practice training in Sydney. Michael obtained his fellowship in General Practice in 2018.
