In 2025, the UNSW Orchestra will allow participants to audition to perform with them in Term 2 or 3. The winner must ensure their availability for the performance as programmed by the Music Performance Unit.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be current UNSW students.
- Video auditions will not be accepted.
Selection
The winner will be selected based on performance quality, appropriateness, and repertoire difficulty. The UNSW Music Performance Unit will make the final decision. The Unit reserves the right not to appoint a winner if the number of candidates is deemed inappropriate.
Audition
For the audition, candidates should prepare two contrasting movements from a concerto unaccompanied.
Please check the orchestration for your chosen concerto. Due to space and budgeting limitations, the maximum performable instrumentation for 2025 is*3222-4231-T+3-str.
