About the program

The winter school offers students a unique chance to study at one of Germany’s most renowned Universities. Students do not just learn about European societies – they experience Europe up close on two different Study Tracks.

The two Study Tracks available are:

(A) "Of Values and Virtues: Europe, Diversity, and the Question of Identity" and

(B) "Representing the European Past: Memory and Place-Making in Cross-Cultural Communities"

SUBJECT COURSES: Students can choose between two different Study Tracks. Courses are taught in English. Class sessions are highly interactive, intercultural and combine both traditional and innovative teaching styles, including field trips and field research.

GERMAN LANGUAGE AND CULTURE: Students will gain one of the key qualifications in an increasingly globalized world: Intercultural competence and will also attend a German language class.

BUDDY PROGRAM: A student of the University of Tübingen teams up with a participant and will support them during the entire stay in Tübingen. This will allow students to get to know German students, and experience student life first-hand.
