Roles and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities for this role include:
- Attend regular SHAC meetings.
- Support the Chairperson and complete tasks on time to achieve changes as outlined by the SHAC action plans.
- Take initiative to drive change and SHAC goals.
- Represent the health and wellbeing needs of UNSW students by organising appropriate focus groups and surveys to ensure the voices of the diverse UNSW community are heard.
- Support communication campaigns and develop effective communication strategies and reporting to ensure the whole of the student community feel their voices are being heard.
Skills and Experience
- A passion and understanding of the health and wellbeing needs of students and experience advocating and driving change within a diverse community.
- Ability to effectively communicate with diverse people including other SHAC representatives, professional staff and the student population.
- Proven capacity to plan, develop and deliver outcomes.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety services at UNSW and commitment to attending relevant training and committee meetings.
