The relationship between the mind and the body is an important one. This year, we’ll take you on a journey through the brain, heart, lungs and body on World Mental Health Day.
At the biggest event of October’s Mental Health Month, UNSW's World Mental Health Day is a chance to connect with others, learn something new and talk more about staying mentally healthy.
Join us on Wednesday 9 October at Helen Maguire Lawn (Quad), from 11am to 3pm to connect with others, relax and take some stress off mid-terms.
What’s involved
- Lots of freebies (flowers, bubbles, hot drinks & more!)
- Ball pit
- Yummy food
- Yoga with UNSW Fitness and Aquatic Centre
- Loads of community partners with activities and more
Want a free soft serve ice cream?🍦
The first 100 students who complete the World Mental Health Day activity challenge get one free soft serve ice cream.
What you need to do:
- Pick up a World Mental Health Day activity card from the Health and Wellbeing Ambassador stall. Look for the HWAs in salmon pink shirts!
- Visit and get involved in as many activities in each section – Mind, Heart, Lungs and Body.
- After completing each activity, collect a sticker from the respective stall to add to your card until complete.
- Visit the ice cream van with your completed activity card and claim one free ice cream!
