Sydney Writers’ Festival Short Internship Program
Please note that these are unpaid, two-week internships offered as a practical learning opportunity to assist our production staff in podcasting and videography at a large-scale festival event.
During the internship, you'll have opportunities to network with professionals in Sydney’s thriving arts and cultural events industry.
Podcasting internship | 6x positions available
Assist with:
• Recording audio
• Editing audio
• Maintaining the integrity of the data and its management
• Working within computer networking systems
• Running errands as appropriate to support the Festival Broadcast Recording Engineer.
Videography internship | 3x positions available
Assist with:
• Engaging authors and various talent in conversation
• Preparing and using interview questions to capture effective soundbites
• Setting up audio, lighting and camera equipment at stages and venues
• Being a liaison between media, talent, staff and Festival attendees
• Running errands as appropriate to support the Festival Videographer.
Interns must be available during the Festival weekend Thursday 25 May – Sunday 28 May 2023.
