ARTS2022 Writing, Publishing, and Literary Culture will be offered in T1 2024 for the second time.
This course in English and Creative Writing will give you an understanding of the history and evolution of the literary field, which you will then be able to use to develop your writing profile.
We will focus on how writing and publishing function as cultural practices in Australia and contribute to debates in the broader public sphere. With input from industry practitioners and scholars of book history, you will explore the material life of the books you read, study and love, and develop your own practical knowledge of how to engage with this world as a writer and thinker with ideas to share.
