Beginning in Term 1 2024, Australia’s first elective in Social Robotics is now open for enrolment!

BENV2522 Social Robotics is open to anyone interested new technologies, ethics, and how our culture shapes and is shaped by interaction with technology.

About the course

Through a series of iterative stages, students will design and build their own interactive social robot, with the aim of generating movement that inspires affective human-robot interaction. Through this course students will also engage with the UNSW Creative Robotics Lab - an excellent experience for anyone interested in post-graduate research.

Who is this course for?

This course has no prerequisites, and requires no prior knowledge. Everyone is welcome!

For students in the Bachelor of Design, this course is the first of four in the Minor in Social Robotics.
