About the Program

Take action on sustainability and deepen your understanding of global challenges and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Join an international cohort of like-minded people for five inspirational weeks and get the chance to visit the beautiful city of Gothenburg, on the west coast of Sweden.

The Summer School offers a programme of courses and activities to create synergy around sustainable solutions and encourage interdisciplinary collaboration. 

Choose one of five courses in the areas of education, politics, biology , digitalisation or humanities to deepen your understanding of contemporary sustainability challenges and possibilities.

The courses available are:

  • Managing Migration
  • Digitalisation in a Changing World
  • Teaching Sustainable Development from a Global Perspective
  • Imagining justice for a sustainable world:perspectives from fiction, philosophy and religion
  • Biodiversity in Western Sweden

Enrolment Type and Fees

Enrolment Type: Exchange places may be available

Tuition Fees: Students nominated for an Exchange place will pay regular tuition fees to UNSW only

Academic Credit

Approval for credit transfer is at the discretion of your Faculty. Credit approval can only be given prior to the commencement of a Learning Abroad program - no retrospective requests will be accepted.

Completion of an approved Short Course typically will lead to the awarding of 6 or 12 Free Elective Units of Credit, or where applicable, 6 or 12 General Education Units of Credit toward your UNSW program.

Reflect and complete the Returned Student Questionnaire

Become a Learning Abroad ambassador and share your experience!
