Description:

The Energy and Water Justice team works to ensure all New South Wales households have access to affordable and sustainable energy and water services.

We engage with Australian governments, regulators, companies, and other stakeholders to insert consumer perspectives into a range of regulatory and policymaking processes, and work with energy and water service providers to facilitate consumer voices being considered in investment and operation decisions.

An Energy and Water Justice intern can expect to contribute to a pre-existing research project. This may involve processing collected data and/or supplementing this with new data collection. Research may involve desktop surveys of academic and grey literature to inform research. Students will be expected to contribute to the writing of research outputs. They will attend team meetings and external meetings with stakeholders as appropriate.

Skills required: Research, policy analysis, project management, capacity to write in a range of formats suitable to context and audience
