About the program

Study Japanese language, and participate in cultural activities, workshops and events!

The Rikkyo Summer Short-Term Intensive Japanese Program 2025 runs for around 2 weeks and consists of about 46 hours of Japanese classes including cultural activities.

Both “Beginner” and “Elementary” level classes will be held. The program is especially suitable for the introductory level learners who have no or little experience in learning Japanese or students who have learned Japanese for approximately one year and are at JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N4/N5 level. In addition, some optional social events will be offered and there will be ample opportunity to interact with Rikkyo local students.

Enrolment Type and Fees

Enrolment Type: DIRECT ENROLMENT 

Fees: 

  • Tuition 100,000 yen
  • Activity Fees (including Insurance Fee) : 8,000 yen
  • Accommodation (Single room and management fee) : 144,000 yen
  • Administrative Fee: 28,000 yen

Total: 280,000 yen

Credit Transfer

Approval for credit transfer for learning abroad programs is at the discretion of your Faculty. 

Completion of an approved Short Course typically will lead to the awarding of 6 or 12 Free Elective Units of Credit, or where applicable, 6 or 12 General Education Units of Credit toward your UNSW program.

Please note: The objective of Learning Abroad Short Programs is to grant students an opportunity to learn in an international environment. Due to this, students are not eligible to receive Credit at UNSW for Short Programs undertaken in their country of permanent residence (home country).
