All Clubs have club executives that are managing and running the Club! Executives are elected leadership positions that have responsibilities defined within the constitution. If the minimum requirements of 20 hours commitment and completed executive training are met, executives within an AHEGS approved club are eligible for AHEGS recognition.
The following positions are recognised as part of the executive of each Club. Some Clubs have additional positions recognised as part of the executive.

President
- Oversees and coordinates the activities and administration of the club
- Ensures that all tasks necessary for the running of the activities of the society are performed, properly either by doing them or delegating the duties
- Acts as official spokesperson for the club
- Acquaints and briefs each committee member with their function, responsibility, duties and maintain personal contact with them; and
- Liaises with Arc and departments of the University where necessary.
Vice President
- Oversees the general functioning and operation of their respective portfolio.
Secretary
- Responsible for receiving and replying to all correspondence on behalf of the club
- Organises meetings, agendas (in consultation with the President), and minutes
- Keeps relevant club papers in order; and
- Coordinates elections.
Treasurer
- Keeps and maintains all club financial records
- To carry out financial transactions as directed by the club management; and
- Ensures that club funds are not misused at any time.
Arc Delegate
- Communicates with the Executive before and after each Arc Clubs General Meeting to pass on information (about grants etc.);
- Liaises with Arc and the club’s Executive;
- Attend Arc Clubs General Meetings or nominate a fellow club member to attend on their behalf.
