What is it?
Linking ideas is the way in which a piece of writing is held together. If a text has no cohesion, it can be very difficult to understand.
What does it do?
Linking ideas shows the connections and relationships between ideas. If you don’t show these connections, you can confuse your reader.
How does it work?
Linking ideas works by creating links in a text, like the links in a chain. The next section tells you about the different levels of linking ideas and the different types of linking ideas.
