About the program
This program is aimed to support commencing students within the School of Chemical Engineering and to provide the following:
- Orientate students to the university
- Connect with their peers and to respective undergraduate societies
- Familiarise new students with research within the school, to assist them with developing an interest area for their thesis
- Assist students with developing networking skills, and show diverse career pathways and opportunities
There are weekly activities for peer groups to complete, and the groups that accumulate the most points throughout will be awarded a prize. There will be events throughout to socialise with peers, connect with industry, and explore research within the school. Events include, Week 2 - BBQ, Week 5 - Camp, Other - Meet a Researcher, Cruise, Getting Started with Networking.
When does the program run?
Term 1 (Week 2 to Week 9)
New student (mentee) registrations
This program is for all commencing undergraduate students studying any of the following: Chemical Engineering, Chemical Product Engineering, Flexible First Year Engineering, or Food Science.
T1 2025 registrations will open early next year. Connect to the society to find out about other ways you can get involved this term.
Mentor applications
T1 2025 registrations will open in late 2024.
