Science Work Placement: NCP Malaysia Internship

 Do you want to also gain valuable global professional experience and earn elective UOC towards your program?

The New Colombo Plan (NCP) Malaysia is a scholarship that covers your work placement program, travel, and accommodation costs in Malaysia. You will be working with students from the University of Newcastle (UON) and the University of Wollongong (UOW) in multidisciplinary teams. Eligible UNSW Science students will undertake the 8-week internship as a SCIF3199 - Science Work Placement Course throughout the program, which can contribute to 6 UoC science or free elective. 

Projects are currently open in the following topics:

  • Malaysian fish sausage (Keropok Lekor)
  • Carbon monoxide
  • Mutation breeding of rice
  • PFAS in microalgae
  • Stem cells in health and food technology
