Dr Jurek graduated with honours from Monash University and after completing psychiatric training in Melbourne worked in Papua New Guinea and Canada where she underwent further specialisation in the psychotherapies. Whilst there, she was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and was affiliated with Carleton University.
Dr Jurek is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and a member of the psychotherapy, addiction medicine and forensic faculties of the College. She is interested in a wide range of conditions relevant to young adults.
In her spare time, Dr Jurek enjoys socialising with friends.
Dr Jurek has reduced her hours at the health service and is currently not seeing new patients.
