The Greater Cities Commission (GCC) and the NUW Alliance have partnered to launch a research internship for students. The program enables students to help shape plans for Australia's first multi-global city region, spanning the Hunter, Greater Sydney and the Illawarra.

Over the course of eight weeks, 30 interns will work in a team-based environment on some of the key issues of our time, such as housing affordability, green space development and equitable infrastructure, looking at ways we can apply city planning to help solve these challenges.

The program is transdisciplinary and is open to all final year undergraduate students from any field of study. Interns will receive a stipend of $1000 for their participation.

Applications close 11.59pm, Monday 15 May
