Please also check for any restrictions for particular courses on the above website.

UNSW Eligibility Requirements

For UNSW virtual exchange eligibility requirements please see the Virtual Exchange section of the Student Exchange Tutorial.  Please read all information carefully before applying. The tutorial also includes APRU Virtual Exchange FAQs.

Please note: APRU Virtual Student Exchange program is open to undergraduate students only.

Enrolment and Fees

Limited exchange places available.  Successful students will be enrolled in specific exchange course code(s) at UNSW for the terms they are undertaking their virtual exchange courses. Students continue to pay their tuition fees to UNSW

How to Apply

Please apply through the Virtual Exchange Application  by 11:59 pm on 18 December (late applications cannot be accepted)

Please copy the program name in this post's title and paste it into the 'First Preference Host University Name' field on the Virtual Exchange Application form.

Important: students must apply to UNSW via Virtual Exchange Application first and be selected and nominated by UNSW before they are eligible to apply on the APRU website.

Transfer of Credit:

If you are selected for this virtual student exchange program, you will be required to get partner university courses approved for credit by your UNSW Faculty. This is a condition of participating in the virtual student exchange program. Further information about the course approval process will be sent to you once you have submitted your application.  Information is also available in the Student Exchange Tutorial

Please make sure you research the partner university online courses carefully to find suitable options for your degree.

When researching courses for virtual exchange, keep in mind that elective courses and general education courses do not necessarily need to match specific UNSW courses. This will give you more flexibility and it is also a great opportunity to take an online course at an overseas university that is not available at UNSW! For more information about the course matching process, please visit the Virtual Exchange section of the  Student Exchange Tutorial
