Peer Support for students with disabilities
A peer support program for new students with disabilities, long term illness or mental health conditions to get the most out of your UNSW experience! Sign up to the program today for fun, small group mentoring sessions as well as some larger group events to build your connections and UNSW knowledge. ActivateUNSW introduces you to fellow students and mentors in a safe and understanding environment for a fun and helpful experience to ease your transition into university life. The program is currently running online with the potential for on-campus meet ups if you would like to.

GradWISE Disability Employment
GradWISE is a graduate program, developed by WISE Employment in conjunction with Australian Universities. The program is designed to empower graduates and tertiary students living with a disability, mental, physical health condition or injury aspire, develop and thrive in graduate jobs and entry level employment.
Assistive Technology: Explore what's right for you
Assistive Technology refers to practical tools that enhance independence for people with disabilities and is defined by the WHO as “any item, piece of equipment or product system whether acquired commercially, modified or customized that is used to increase, maintain or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities” (World Health Organisation & World Bank 2011, p.101).

Student Support Services
UNSW has a dedicated Student Support Services team. The Student Support Team helps with personalised advice and information about university life, student visas, wellbeing, academic performance or if you need help but don't know where to go. Accessing NDIS
If you are a person living with a disability and want to register for the NDIS, you need to meet the access requirements. These include your age, residency status, disability, and in some cases, your early intervention requirements. Check your eligibility here.
