The UNSW Health Service is a comprehensive health service that’s available to all students and staff at the university.
Our team of highly experienced GP’s has a diverse range of skills and knowledge. We can treat everything from sport injuries and general health issues to heart problems. We can also conduct men's and women's health checks and provide vaccinations for health and travel.
Making an appointment with us is easy. You can book via our online booking system through the UNSW Health Service website or through our Appointuit app which is available on your phone. You can also come in and speak to our staff in person.
All appointments with us are completely confidential and the health service does not link or share your personal records with the university.
For Domestic students who holds a Medicare card or International students with Medibank OSHC card or AHM card there is no cost to see a GP. A small fee may be charged for some vaccinations and dressings if needed.
If you are an International student who is with other health insurance funds you may need to pay upfront, and be reimbursed later by your health insurer.
If you have any questions about costs, please ask the reception
On the day of the appointment you can find us on the ground floor of the Quantrangle of the Kensington campus. Please check in with reception and show them your UNSW I.D. Card, and a Medicare or Health Insurance cards.
Appointments will usually take between 15-20 minutes and the GP can treat most enquiries at the Health Service. If your GP feels you need further treatment or a specialist, they will write a referral letter for you and tell you where you can get additional help.
Uni life is great but sometimes it can be stressful if you are sick or worried. And so please remember to come and see us if you have any concerns about your health or well-being.
