The University of Virginia (UVA) is a prestigious public research university located in Charlottesville, Virginia. Founded by Thomas Jefferson in 1819, UVA is known for its historic significance, rigorous academic programs, and picturesque campus. With a strong emphasis on teaching, research and community engagement, UVA offers a wide range of programs across various disciplines, including Arts and Social Sciences, Business, Architecture, Engineering and Applied Science. Notable features include the Rotunda, designed by Jefferson himself, and the vibrant student life and sporting events.
