Aix-Marseille University (AMU) is one of the largest universities in France, and is the country's second-oldest university. It was founded in 1409 in Aix-en-Provence as a university with a humanist and Catholic foundation. AMU is located in the south of France, near the French Riviera. With 80,000 students and 18 Colleges, it offers a wide array of academic degrees and programs. Students can choose from economics, management, politics, humanities, social sciences, science and engineering, with many courses offered in English.
