The Technical University of Munich (TUM or Technische Universität München) was founded in 1868 and is one of Germany’s leading institutions for research and teaching in natural and engineering sciences. Recognized as a “University of Excellence,” TUM has consistently ranked among the top universities globally.  TUM is known for its entrepreneurial spirit and has strong international collaborations and has campuses in Munich, Garching, Freising-Weihenstephan and Straubing. 

At TUM, a significant number of courses are offered in English at the Master’s level.  Undergraduate students in their 3rd or 4th year who meet the requirements are able to take Master’s level classes.
