Positions and responsibilities
President
- Oversees and coordinates the activities and administration of the club;
- Ensures that all tasks necessary for the running of the activities of the society are performed, properly either by doing them or delegating the duties;
- Acts as official spokesperson for the club;
- Acquaints and briefs each committee member with their function, responsibility, duties and maintain personal contact with them; and
- Liaises with Arc and departments of the University where necessary.
Vice President
- Oversees the general functioning and operation of their respective portfolio.
Secretary
- Responsible for receiving and replying to all correspondence on behalf of the club;
- Organises meetings, agendas (in consultation with the President), and minutes;
- Keeps relevant club papers in order; and
- Coordinates elections.
Treasurer
- Keeps and maintains all club financial records;
- To carry out financial transactions as directed by the club management; and
- Ensures that club funds are not misused at any time.
Director Co-ordinator
- Oversees the general functioning and operation of their respective portfolio or activity.
Photographer
- Takes photographs at club events.
Arc Delegate
- Communicates with the Executive before and after each Arc Clubs General Meeting to pass on information (about grants etc.);
- Liaises with Arc and the club’s Executive;
- Attend Arc Clubs General Meetings or nominate a fellow club member to attend on their behalf.
