The UNSW Counselling and Pyschological Services team is experienced in designing and running great programs, workshops and seminars for students. We also offer a select number of these to staff where appropriate.
Why not make the most of your time at University and learn a few new life skills while you're here? It looks good on the CV too.
Please note: In general, workshop registrations open two weeks before the date of the first session of the workshop.
Each weekly one-hour workshop aims to provide 'take away' education and skills to help you cope with common anxiety-inducing situations. each week a different topic, come to as many as you like. No need to register - just drop in - bring your student card. 2-3pm in room 2008, level 2, East Wing, Quadrangle Building.
These classes lay the foundation for students to understand basic principles of mindfulness, develop a personal meditation practice, and to apply the principles in their daily life in an ongoing basis. In these mindfulness meditation classes, we will offer a theme each week, engage in a discussion and do a practice together. Come to individual sessions or attend each week.
These weekly workshops will provide you with 'take away' skills and knowledge to manage and 'surf' low mood. Understand signs and symptoms of low mood; develop positive skills in dealing with low mood; and learn practical strategies to improve your mental health. 1 - 2pm in Room 2008, level 2, East Wing, Quadrangle Building, Map Ref E17.
