Volunteering with a community group is an excellent way to give back to your community while making new friends and gaining confidence in working towards something meaningful with others.

Through volunteering you can gain experience in your field of study, or explore other areas of interest and also develop valuable skills in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, communication and cultural awareness to name a few. These skills are highly transferable to the workplace, so volunteering also indirectly enhances your employability.
